Mulla Nasrudin rushed into a store. “Have you ever seen me before?”, he asked breathlessly.
“No.”, came the reply.
“Then how do you know it’s me?”
Like all such stories, there is a layer of humour, and a much deeper layer to ponder, about who we are, and life.
I visited a nursing home for the elderly today. One of the residents said to me, “Young man, do you know who I am?”
“No I don’t”, I responded.
A nurse said to her, “You’re in a nursing home.”
The lady replied, “I know where I am; I just don’t know who I am.”
Like all such incidents, there is layer of humour, but a much deeper layer to ponder, about who we are, and Alzheimer's.
